LeanBowl Data Deletion

This is LeanBowl's public web resource for requesting account and data deletion outside the app. LeanBowl is an app brand/trading name operated by Gladiolus Limited. This page explains how to request deletion of personal data connected to the LeanBowl app and related services, including where you created an account using email OTP, Apple, or Google sign-in.

It should be read together with the LeanBowl Privacy Policy.

1. What You Can Request

You can ask us to delete or anonymise personal data associated with your LeanBowl account, subject to legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and app-store transaction requirements.

Deletion may include account identifiers, profile settings, saved recipes, planner entries, grocery items, and account-controlled app data.

2. How to Request Deletion

If an in-app deletion option is available in your version of LeanBowl, you can use that option from the account or settings area. If you cannot access the app, cannot find the in-app option, or prefer to request deletion outside the app, email leanbowl-privacy@gladiolus.dev using the email address linked to your LeanBowl account where possible.

Please include:

• the email address used for your LeanBowl account;
• the sign-in method you used, such as email OTP, Apple, or Google;
• whether you want account deletion or only deletion of specific app data; and
• any support ticket reference if you previously contacted us.

Do not send payment card details, medical information, allergy details, passwords, or unnecessary identity documents.

3. Verification

We may need to verify that the requester controls the relevant LeanBowl account before deleting data. This helps prevent unauthorised deletion of another person's account.

4. Timing

We aim to delete or anonymise account-controlled data within 30 days of verifying a valid deletion request, unless we need more time or must retain limited information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, or app-store transaction reasons.

Backup, logging, analytics, diagnostics, and provider infrastructure copies may expire on the relevant provider's retention schedule.

5. Subscriptions and App Store Records

Deleting a LeanBowl account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through the app-store account used for purchase.

Apple, Google, and app-store providers may retain purchase, refund, billing, and account records under their own legal obligations and privacy policies.

6. AI, Analytics, and Diagnostics Providers

Where your data has been processed by providers such as AI model providers, analytics providers, diagnostics providers, backend providers, or subscription providers, we will use available provider controls to delete, anonymise, or unlink identifiable records where required and technically available.
